5th EAI International Conference on Big data and Cloud Computing Challenges (ICBCC ’18)

ICBCC ’18 is a two-day international conference on Big data and Cloud Computing Challenges to be held in VIT University Chennai Campus on March 8th & 9th, 2018 in association with European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), a leading community-based organization devoted to the advancement of innovation in the field of Information & Communication Technology (ICT). ISBCC is now promoted as ICBCC.

Call for Demo Track

The Demonstrations Track is an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to present their innovative prototypes, practical developments, on-going projects, lessons learned and late-breaking results, relevant for the topics of interest of the main conference and the research and poster tracks. The topics included but not limited to:

  • Architecture
  • Map Reduce
  • Security and Privacy
  • Services and Applications
  • Virtualization
  • HPC on Cloud
  • Big data Science and Foundations
  • Big data Infrastructure and Management
  • Big data Search and Mining
  • Big data Security and Privacy
  • Bid data Applications

Submission Requirements

Submissions to the demonstrations track should make clear what will be demonstrated, and in particular point out what makes the demonstration a novel showcase. The submission should also specify what is the research background and application context of the demonstration, and what makes this a novel showcase for topic related to the conference.

Each Demo submission must consist of the following elements:


A two-page paper (plus one page for bibliographic references) to describe the system to be demonstrated. More precisely, the authors are encouraged to discuss the application domain, the problem scenario, the technology used, the innovations of the system, and its live and interactive aspects, etc.


The paper to contain a URL linking to a demonstration video of no more than 5 minutes in duration (QuickTime or YouTube format) showing and explaining the execution of the system.

Supervisor Endorsement (Student Projects Only)

 A brief note from the supervisor of the student describing the individual’s contribution to the project.


Selection Criteria

The submission and selection processes for the ICBCC’18 Demos will be separate from that of the main conference. Each submission will be assessed by the Demos Program Committee. The authors will receive a brief evaluation report with the notification.

The evaluation criteria are:

• Relevance to the ICBCC’18 conference

 • Significance and originality

 • Live demo presentation and technical quality

• Video content and presentation

 • Maturity and readiness for demonstration

• Potential for public interaction

• Potential impact in the intended application domain

• Potential interest to a broader audience


ICBCC ’18 Best Demo earn monetary awards


Submit your Demo proposal through EAI 'Confy' system at Confy. Presenters will be notified by date of their proposal acceptance. Accepted Demos papers will be included in the ICBCC’18 proceedings. At least one author of each accepted demonstration is required to register and attend the conference to give a live demonstration.
